Grants

TSB Community Trust is committed to helping our communities achieve their goals. We do this by investing in people and communities, and by facilitating opportunities for positive change.

The Trust is committed to supporting increased access to opportunities for the Taranaki community, a thriving environment, cohesive communities and thriving whanau across generations.

Through our Community Funding the Trust offers a range of grants to eligible community organisations and individuals.  To find out more about the types of grants the Trust makes click here.

Before you Apply for a Grant:

It's important to find out whether you are eligible to apply - to learn about our eligibility criteria you take the eligibility quiz on our website home page and read the Trust's Eligibility Criteria Policy.

If you need help to make an application contact the Trust office - we are here to help.

When to Apply:

The Trust's financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

Grants Under $100,000 may be applied for anytime. Note: it can take 8-12 weeks to get a response (excluding Individual Grants) - so apply ahead as the Trust does not fund activities that have already happened

Grants Over $100,000 are considered once a year only.  If your organisation is planning a regionally significant project, programme or event and you are considering submitting an application for funding to TSB Community Trust,  you must  submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

The Expression of Interest (EOI) process for Grants Over $100,000 is usually promoted in April of each year.

Individual Grant applications are considered monthly. Note: To ensure your Individual Grant application can be considered in time, please submit your application as early as possible (at least three weeks prior to travel). Applicants will generally receive notification 1-2 weeks before the activity. Applicants must be selected by the recognised sporting, cultural or educational national body to represent New Zealand or to attend a national training or development squad and have official confirmation from the relevant national body. To find out more read our Community Funding Guidelines.

Reporting on a Grant

Your organisation may be required to report back on how you used your grant. Please read your grant confirmation letter carefully to check if there any specific conditions for reporting back to the Trust. If an Outcomes report or Accountability report is required your organisation will not be eligible to apply for another grant unless the report has been received as requested.

Grant Announcements

A list of grants approved is available Grants pages of this website at the end of each quarter. An annual list of all grants approved is available in our Annual Report each year and on the Trust's Grants pages on this website.

Acknowledging a Grant:

If your organisation receives a grant the TSB Community Trust expects its support to be acknowledged via your usual  processes for acknowledging supporters - please contact the Trust office to receive a copy of the Trust logo and instructions on how this should be used. Organisations hosting public events funded by the Trust may wish to display a Trust promotional banner, please contact the Trust office to enquire how to book one for your event.
