Annual Grant
Groups meeting Trust criteria are eligible to receive an annual grant if they submit an application annually. Annual Grants may be used for general organisation administration or other purposes as the organisation requires. Annual grant amounts vary depending on the type of group, and it is the Trust’s policy to ensure consistency in that similar groups receive similar annual grants
Special Grant
A special grant is a grant to any one group which is more than the group can expect to receive on an annual basis. Special grants are normally given for major projects, hosting national events, upgrades of facilities and other significant circumstances. With the exception of Jubilee/Centennial Celebrations, unless there are exceptional circumstances, special grants will not be granted to any one group less than three years apart. Groups applying for a special grant are not eligible to also apply for an annual grant in the same financial year.
Individual Grants
Individuals who have been selected to represent New Zealand, individuals attending recognised overseas education programmes for a minimum of six months (e.g. AFS) and individuals who have been selected into national development squads may apply for grants. Individuals who qualify for assistance are normally eligible to only one grant per financial year.
Touring Production Fund
This fund provides donations for productions primarily of an artistic or cultural nature that would be unlikely to perform in Taranaki without funding assistance and must be of sufficient profile to attract a regionally spread audience. Taranaki venues apply for assistance from the Touring Production Fund.
