Kia ora - Welcome to TSB Community Trust
The TSB Community Trust was formed in 1988 as a charitable trust, the owner and sole shareholder of TSB Bank Limited.
As the sole shareholder of TSB Bank, each year the Trust receives a dividend from the Bank that it can distribute towards “charitable, cultural, philanthropic, recreational and other purposes beneficial to the community, principally in Taranaki".
Changes to TSB Community Trust grant types coming in 2015!!!
The TSB Community Trust will be implementing three new grant types as of 1 April 2015. If your organisation usually applies for an Annual or Special Grant these changes will affect you.
The Trust’s other existing types of grants will remain the same – only the Annual and Special Grants are affected.
Instead of ‘Annual’ and ‘Special’ grants, from 1 April 2015 eligible groups will be able to apply for the following types of grants:
Starting from $200, an Operational Grant provides support for the on-going day to day costs of running a not for profit organisation.
A Capital Grant provides support towards the purchase or improvement of capital assets. For example: facilities, equipment, uniforms, IT equipment, and vehicles.
• Programme & Event
A Programme and Event Grant provides support towards the costs of running a programme or event, which is a specific activity or project which an organisation runs for a specific period of time and which has clearly identified purposes and outcomes. For example; the Trust may consider funding events that are being hosted in Taranaki or community programmes, such as: volunteering, sport development, education, and social services.
More information about these changes will follow soon… In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to contact our staff at the TSB Community Trust. We are here to help!
IMPORTANT TO NOTE! : In order to introduce these changes TSB Community Trust will not be accepting any applications in March 2015,
Any applications to be considered in the 2014/15 financial year must be submitted by 27 February 2015.
